Opportunities to practice and serve

Welcome to all those who want to help the Sangha.

Much needs to be done to ensure the smooth running of the Sangha's activities and its development. Everything that needs to be done is an opportunity for practice, an opportunity to give back to the Sangha, to offer a service in Mindfulness. There is neither a chore, nor a task. Only opportunities for practice and service.

Under the responsibility of the Governing Council and the Dharma Teachers Council, you can be a member of the Caretaking Council of the Sangha to offer your assistance, to follow the training, if necessary, in order to support the following areas of right action:

  1. Supporting practice
    1. Facilitation of meditation sessions (subject to having trained and with the approval of Teachers)
    2. Coordination of Days of Mindfulness and participation in the conduct of DOM
    3. Coordination of retreats and participation in their organization
  2. Logistics
    1. Coordination and enrollment for management workshops
    2. Welcome to the meditation sessions and workshops
    3. Audio-video installation and operation (sound console , projector, recordings, etc.
    4. Computer support (website, equipment, information processing and databases)
    5. Telephony (Committee who answer phone calls)
    6. Mats and cushions - Cleaning, repair, renew the stock, transport to DOM and retreats
    7. Hardware Organization (Ex: storage of cushions and rugs, other facilities, etc.).

Just as vegetation is sensible to sunlight, mental formations are sensitive to mindfulness. Mindfulness is the energy that can embrace and transform all mental formations. Mindfulness helps us leave behind "upside-down perceptions" and wakes us up to what is happening.
